Jamiah Naleemiah is the leading Islamic academic institution in Sri Lanka established in 1973 and it fulfills the important need of the Ummah for an integrated system of Islamic education which incorporates Islamic studies along with modern disciplines. The educational objectives, the curriculum and the academic programme has been planned with the objective of producing a band of scholars who have the academic background, intellectual vision, moral training and spiritual strength to provide a dynamic Islamic leadership to the Muslim community. In 1996 it was accorded a membership in the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World (FUIW).
Alhamdulillah, we had the opportunity to visit the university and had a discussion with the principal, Dr. Muhammad Ali Syukri. We were being explained about the foundation of the university, it's history and achievements, and also it's objectives, vision and mission. Apart from that, we also discussed about Syeikh Yusof al-Makassari and Dr Muhammad Ali is interested in collaborating with GPTD to organize a seminar on Syeikh Yusof al-Makassari.

saya pelajar universiti sains islam malaysia (USIM). lebih kurg setahun lagi, saya dan rakan2 akan ke sri lanka utk program khidmat masyarakat di sana di bawah program universiti iaitu Global Islamic Student Outreach (GISO). tetapi, kami masih belum dpt tempat iaitu perkampungan di sana utk mlakukan aktiviti di sana. oleh itu, saya ingin meminta pertolongan tuan/puan utk mencadangkan kampung di sana utk kami pergi. kami juga perlu mendptkan contact penduduk di sana samada email atau no telefon. saya harap tuan/puan dpt membantu usaha kami kerana kami
perlu mendapatkannya secepat mungkin utk kmi mencri dana supaya dapt kesana. terima kasih...
